Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised by a room upgrade, an unexpected yet welcome gesture considering the initial accommodation booked was not available. The room itself was equipped with a flat-screen TV, providing a nice distraction after long days of cycling and wandering through medieval towns. the free Wi-Fi in the rooms proved advantageous for researching local sites, blending luxury with the practical needs of a historian. While the hotel's amenities reflected a sense of comfort, the overall experience made me question the balance between luxury and value.
